The Berlin-born professional photographer is also a renowned artist and lecturer for photography at various educational institutions. Already at an early stage, she dealt with the memorial Berlin-Hohenschönhausen. Her last project “Inhaftiert – Fotografien und Berichte aus der Untersuchungshaftanstalt der Staatssicherheit” (“Imprisoned – Photographs and Reports from the Stasi Remand Prison”) has meanwhile been shown in Germany, Finland, Greece and France. For the project “Imprisoned – Photographs and Reports from the Stasi Remand Prison”, she worked for the Kulturring in Berlin e.V., a cultural association. Her work was nominated for the “Marion Dönhoff Prize for International Understanding and Reconciliation 2005” and received a selected title at the German Photo Book Prize. Her works are represented internationally in public museums and collections.
